Resumen
A study was made of the response of embryonic epidermis on the basis of its histological transformation in tissue cultures when the epithelium was associated with normal, peritumoral, and leukoplakial corium, as well as inflammatory corium from the lower lip and cheek mucosa of adult human donors. The proliferation of embryonic epidermis was observed in association with normal, peritumorla, and leukoplakial corium. This stimulating effect was not found in association with inflammatory corium. Healthy corium was submitted to several treatments and its biological activity proved to be somewhat sensitive to repeated freezing and thawing. It was also found to be heat and trypsin sensitive.
